RAISE YOUR VOICE

"I raised my voice- not so that I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard. We cannot all succeed when half of us are held back". By Malala Yousafzai, if we keep on silence we won't be able to have our right to have and to determine choices ; our right to have power to control our own lives, both within and outside the home, and our ability to influence the direction of social and economic order, nationally and internationally.

Now, there are still some problems and issues for women in our society.  One of these is that women receive sexual harassment by men in society and work places. I have read some saying, well I can hardly remember but it says "If you put man in a room with 10 women he's in heaven, but if it's one woman with 10 men she's scared". Some men still think that women are weaker than men, so men use violence against women frequently. Women can work and earn money by themselves now, so they can live without support or depending from men. Up to these days, women are still fighting for civil rights and equality, because there is still discrimination against them. But unlike before, women can now vote, choose what they want to be, and express their feelings more freely.

In order for us to have our rights, we should have courage to find our voice for us to be able to speak what's on our minds. We need to start learning how to protect ourselves and stand on our own two feet. We need to be able to take care of ourselves and love ourselves even more.
